About the Event
In the absence of normal recruit camp - and in an effort to catch up on much of this year's missed training for our year 9 recruits - we are holding two days of training at SGS' sports ground, Northey Avenue.
Training will be conducted over 2 days, with cadets arriving for a 0800hrs start each morning. Cadets will not be sleeping overnight and so will need collecting - or travel home independently - on the Sunday evening.
The days will focus on practical training in fieldcraft, weapon handling, first aid, and navigation. Lunch and dinner will be provided on the Sunday, and lunch on the Monday.
SGS' headmaster has given us given cadets permission to attend this training in place of school on 19 July. Nonsuch cadets will have finished term the previous Friday.
The training days are free of charge.
