Cadet Absences from SGS Today

I have had my attention drawn to the fact that 15 Year 9 cadets, who attended the CCF weekend on the Isle of Wight, did not attend school on Monday morning, citing minor ailments. The weekend was a busy and active one but I was not aware of any reason for cadets to be absent today.

I have requested the names of absentees from the Head of Year.  If cadets are not able to attend school following a CCF weekend, they should not be coming on said weekends.  We will apply this expectation by reviewing attendance at school after camps where this applies.

For those cadets who have also signed up for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, it is worth noting that the same expectation applies, and I would strongly recommend against pursuing D of E if health issues are going to prevent school attendance in consequence.

[The same obviously applies to all year groups, for clarity]
