Year 10 Weekend Update

As briefed to cadets and indicated on the instruction sheet (here), we are asking parents to bring their sons and daughters to the training area at Mereworth Woods from 6.30pm please (postcode and what3words given on sheet). Given Friday evening traffic, we obviously anticipate some arrivals being later and arrivals are welcome in the half hour window between 6.30 and 7pm. We will have someone waiting at the entrance after 7pm if not all cadets have arrived by that time.

Our current departure time is Sunday at 10am., so we are asking parents to collect cadets from Mereworth Woods at that time. However, we are also keeping an eye on the weather, and should it become too severe for our activities, we will be asking parents to collect cadets earlier. Any such request will be made on this blog and via messages from cadet mobiles. The area is well bounded and protected and the impact of severe weather hopefully limited, but part of our dynamic risk assessment is obviously to keep this under review throughout the weekend. This is especially with regards to sleeping arrangements (cadets are under cover in outdoor bashers, albeit in well wooded areas) so do please keep an eye on this blog, where I will post any necessary updates.
