Year 9 cadets signed up for the Skill At Arms training on 9 March 2024 are asked to familiarise themselves with the following:
Attend SGS at 0800 on 9 March 2024 and form up in the playground as if for parade.
Wear your uniform: full MTP Combats with beret (if issued) as if for parade.
You must bring your own packed lunch, snacks and waterbottle to last you for the day (finishing at 1600)
Ensure you are familiar with the below videos and diagrams and be able to recall named parts of the rifle.
If you are required to play school sport on Saturday morning, you must inform us by emailing us at info@suttongrammarccf.com and ensure you have arrived at SGS by 1100.
You will be taken through all of this information by the officers who are training you, but it is certainly worth watching the videos beforehand in the following order:
 This video from Campbell College CCF is an excellent and careful introduction to the weapon you will be training with. The Campbell College instructor guides you clearly through the different weapon parts.
The next video is also from Campbell College CCF, who have posted some first class material. This is a quick video of a cadet disassembling the cadet rifle - something you will be taught to do as part of your SAA teaching on Saturday.
