October Camp Briefing and WHTs and Year 9 RAF Night

2 min read

Parade this week will start at 1610, so all companies should be formed up at 1605 with immaculate kit. If you cannot attend parade, you must fill in the absence form on the website.

October Camp

The briefing for October camp will be held immediately after parade this week for all cadets on camp. Attendance is absolutely compulsory. A kit list will be given out in the briefing, along with a preliminary kit list, which will be attached below. All items on the list are essential. If you do not have a sleeping bag, we can provide one if you email the quartermaster so we can pack one for you.

After the briefing, weapons handling tests will be carried out for cadets on camp who have not yet completed them. If you do not have a valid test, you cannot come on camp, so watch the videos on the website to revise the content. These will finish late after parade, so inform your parents that you will be home significantly later than after regular parade.

RAF

This week will be the first year nine RAF night. All year 9 RAF cadets, except for those doing weapons handling training (sections Alfa and Foxtrot) should come to school and parade in the dress blues that have been issued, along with polished black dress shoes. This week you will not be on your normal rotations. Instead, you will be taught RAF specific content.

RAF cadets in years ten, eleven, and twelve should come dressed in MTP and boots as usual and will have regular parade rotations. You will have a dedicated RAF rotation starting later next term. Year ten RAF cadets must complete the blues kit form attached, or you cannot be issued kit.

For RAF specific enquiries, email the Warrant Officer at josephtaffurelli@suttongrammar.school.

Again, all kit enquires need to be emailed to the quartermaster BEFORE you go to stores and ask for something. Reinhart can be contacted at reinhartbarua@suttongrammar.school.

For other, non-kit based enquiries, email me at oscarmiller@suttongrammar.school.
