Tomorrow (Wednesday 5th November) at 6PM, tickets for the New Recruits Camp (30th Jan - 1st Feb) and February Competition Camp (14th-17th Feb) will be releasing. Parents of year 8 students who applied to join the CCF were contacted via email yesterday confirming whether places had been awarded or not. If you did not receive an email please contact us to check whether you have been successful in your application. As expected, applications far exceeded available places and so, unfortunately, not all students have gained a place.

All cadets (and their parents) attending the New Recruits Camp (19-21 January) should familiarise themselves with the Joining Instructions found here.

There are a handful of places for Nonsuch Year 9 cadets remaining for New Recruits Camp in January. Please book before the end of this school week. Any remaining places will be reallocated to SGS cadets who are currently on the waiting list.

Places on the New Recruits Camp will be available from 9pm this evening. Places are limited so please book as soon as you can to increase chances of getting a place. You can do so by navigating to the Book Camps page under the Camps menu. Unfortunately the number of year 9s exceeds how many cadets we can take away. Unfortunately, for reasons out of our control, we have been forced to re-arrange the forthcoming New Recruits camp, previously scheduled for 28/29 January 2023. As you will be aware, we had intended to take the new year 9 cadets to an army training camp in Folkestone. Accommodation at this location is no longer available. We are therefore rescheduling the trip to 17-19 March 2023 (please note that this includes a Friday departure) and will be running the trip at Nesscliffe

All new year 9 cadets who had applied to attend the New Recruits weekend in November should be aware that the dates have, for reasons out of our control, changed to 28 & 29 January 2023. All places will be carried over. If you cannot attend the new dates, please contact us at info@suttongrammarccf.com and we will issue a refund.

All cadets attending the forthcoming New Recruits Camp can find Joining Instructions for the weekend here. All cadets must print off a copy of the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) and have a parent complete and sign it. These must be handed in on the first day of camp in order for cadets to complete the obstacle course. These will be emailed to parents as well. A quick note to parents of current year 9 cadets. All cadets who have applied to attend the training days on 18 and 19 July at Northey Avenue have a place. We will issue Joining Instructions (details regarding timings, uniform etc) over the next week via email and will attach the same document to a Blog post. Please check the Blog regularly if you do not receive the email - and indeed your spam folder of the email account you registered your child's place with.

We are please to open registrations for some New Recruits training days being run at SGS' sports ground on 18 and 19 July for current year 9 cadets at SGS and Nonsuch. Whilst we normally run this trip on an army base in Folkestone, we plan to replicate most of that weekend at Northey Avenue. This is open to all year 9 cadets at SGS and Nonsuch and will provide an opportunity for more consolidated training - and much needed catch up on the time missed this last academic year.
