February camp bookings wil be open to all year 9 - 13 cadets from Monday 18 November at 6pm. Places will be limited by year group. As you will be aware, to fire the L98A2 cadet GP rifle you must have passed a weapon handling test (WHT) within the last 6 months. The following cadets must attend parade next week where the tests could be done during but most likely after parade. With this in mind, please let your parents know that you might be home later. Applications for February Camp will close on Friday 12 January. If you intend on coming please book one of the few remaining places ASAP on the Camps Booking page.

The remaining places available on camp will be offered to those on the waiting list and opened up to all year groups at the end of this week. If you intend to come and there are places available for your year group remaining, please book before the weekend.

We previously blogged about the cancellation of the February Half Term camp. We have fortunately been able to reschedule this to the second part of the Half term week: 15-18 February. Places will be available to book from Monday on the Camp Bookings page, and we would expect places to be oversubscribed. I am sorry to say that we have had our February Half Term camp applications cancelled by the MoD due to priority bookings on the relevant training estate areas. Thus, there is no CCF camp in the February half term. We are looking at alternative options, including a possible long weekend camp during the second half of the spring term. We will advise on here as soon as we have some confirmed information.

All cadets going on the February Camp must attend the briefing after parade tomorrow night. This should be complete by around 6.15pm. Cadets will be given information about the camp and allocated to their respective sections. The kit list - which will be further explained at the briefing for cadets new to camp - can be found here.
