Year 9 Cadets - Skill At Arms Preparation

As promised at the parade, we are linking here to some videos that will provide you with some helpful familiarisation that should make Saturday's training more manageable. You will be taken through all of this information by the officers who are training you, but it is certainly worth watching the videos beforehand in the following order:

  1. This video from Campbell College CCF is an excellent and careful introduction to the weapon you will be training with. The Campbell College instructor guides you clearly through the different weapon parts.

  2. The next video is also from Campbell College CCF, who have posted some first class material. This is a quick video of a cadet disassembling the cadet rifle - something you will be taught to do as part of your SAA teaching on Saturday.

  3. Finally, an old video from ourselves, on the previous SGSCCF blog. This is the weapons test that you will take at the end of your training.
