Year 10-13 Cadets

This message is for all cadets years 10-13.

Some cadets will have received an SGS CCF patch in yesterday’s parade. If you received a second patch please do not sew this and return it to your platoon’s leader next parade. Anyone who has not yet received a patch will be issued one soon.

This should be sewn onto the smock’s left blanking patch (the removable velcro rectangle below your smock’s sleeve pocket, with a UK flag at the top). Please see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xDvqLn55x2szPQNbgv06Vp8YprDJDoke/view?usp=sharing for a rough example. Focus on the badge being as central on the patch and as parallel with the UK flag as possible.

It should be sewn like any Scout badge, there are many guides for this online but this one https://youtu.be/tClY3tgB3Vw?si=PndHOlxu6wwGogkN is good at avoiding overcomplicating things too much. You can also buy “fusible web” material that allows the patch to be ironed on.

RAF cadets will also receive an RAF unit patch which should be sewn onto the right blanking patch in the same way.

The current deadline for completing this is parade on Tuesday 3rd December. Any queries or issues please contact 105ths.stores@gmail.com.
